Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to operate the Service:

• Calculator inputs (not stored). Anything you type into a calculator stays in your browser. We do not send it to our servers.
• Email signups. When you submit your email to receive benchmarks or updates, we store the email address, the source page, and (optionally) the city and state you provide.
• Anonymous benchmark submissions. When you opt in to share data through a benchmark form, we store the calculator you used, optional role, city, state, years of experience, and the data fields you entered. We do not collect your name or any identifying information through these forms.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog to record pageviews and basic interaction events (such as when a benchmark is submitted). This includes anonymized IP-derived information (country/region), browser and device type, and referring URL.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs request metadata such as IP address, timestamp, and URL for security and abuse prevention. These logs are short-lived.

• To operate, maintain, and improve the calculators.
• To produce aggregated benchmarks. We only display benchmarks based on a minimum sample size and never display individual submissions.
• To send you the newsletter or benchmark updates you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To detect and prevent abuse of the Service.

We share data with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase— database hosting (email signups and benchmark submissions).
• Vercel— web hosting and edge infrastructure.
• PostHog— product analytics.

Each provider handles data under its own privacy and security standards. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

We retain email signups until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe. We retain benchmark submissions indefinitely in aggregated form for the purpose of producing benchmarks. Individual benchmark records can be deleted on request.

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or the EU/UK GDPR, including the right to object to certain processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We use a minimum of cookies, primarily for analytics via PostHog. You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time without affecting the calculators themselves.

The Service is intended for adult beauty professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Material changes will be announced on the homepage or by email when applicable.
